Spinal Cord Injury

An injury to the spinal cord, usualy resulting in paralysis and/or loss of sensations. The extent of paralysis is directly related to the level of the injury on the spinal cord.

Injuries are often referred to as complete or incomplete. An incomplete injury means that there may be some function remaining below the level of injury, that would normally be absent with a complete injury.
