Media and Research Contacts

Sometimes nothing takes the place of one-on-one conversations. If you are working on an article or documentary about Body Integrity Identity Disorder (BIID) and need more information, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us. We'll be glad to hear from you and assist you as best we can.

Due to the need for privacy surrounding such a 'taboo' condition as BIID, we are unable to provide telephone contact details.

[edit] Documentary subjects

We have received several request of assistance to identify transabled individuals who may be interested in participating in documentaries. We will gladly post an announcement, however, and unfortunately, the vast majority of people cannot risk being "outed" in such a public fashion as television documentaries. Because of this, you might find it difficult to find people to appear on screen.

[edit] Research subjects

We have also received a few requests of assistance to identify transabled individuals who would be interested in participating in research studies about BIID. We will post announcements about these requests. We would appreciate being provided with the results of your research, as too many times we participate in these studies, and never hear back about the results of these studies.

[edit] Posting requests for research or documentary subjects

You may contact us with the details of your announcement, and we will post it to the Category:Announcements section of the site for you.
